We started CatalystPay out of real passion for the payments industry.

Today, we are a provider of bespoke merchant services and seamless payment processing, all tailored to meet your specific needs. Our product offering includes a reliable and fast payment gateway, merchant accounts, based on extensive acquiring network as well tailored consultations and ongoing support, to give merchants a complete payment processing suite for their digitally native businesses.

Our Story

CatalystPay was built by former merchants teaming up with former banking professionals. Having been on both sides of the fence provides us the unique perspective of both the merchant and the banking side.  This enables us to be the catalyst for growth for our clients. That goal is the meaning of our brand name.

Today we have grown to become an established payments company with offices in Europe and in North America, we have built a network of over 30 regulated payment partners globally and we are a trusted payment provider of more than 150 diverse clients around the world. 

  • 2019

    CatalystPay is founded under the initial name Catalyst Commerce, with the mission to provide reliable online payment solutions that meet the unique needs of fast-growing merchants and help them navigate the entangled world of payments.

  • 2020

    Despite the challenges of 2020, the growth accelerates as our network grows to 10 direct acquiring and banking partnerships, with ability to service payments in over 85 countries.

  • 2021

    Catalyst Commerce continued growing while being bootstrapped. Our acquiring network increases to 15 partners. At the same time, our client growth also continues.

  • 2022

    Catalyst Commerce becomes CatalystPay. Our team continues to grow in Bulgaria, while also planning for an expanded physical presence in the UK. Our network expands to 25 direct acquiring and banking partnerships with capabilities to process over 150 fiat currencies and most major cryptocurrencies.

  • 2023

    CatalystPay expanded to 30 acquiring partners, introduced new payment methods, and rolled out  enhanced integration to streamline checkout with alternative payment options and seamless connections to e-commerce platforms.
