Reporting directly to the Chief Operations Officer and collaborating closely with various departments, your responsibilities will encompass a comprehensive approach to risk mitigation, ensuring the company adheres to the highest standards of compliance and risk management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the creation and implementation of a strategic risk management plan that aligns with CatalystPay business goals.
- Proactively monitor and analyze transactions to identify potential fraud risks, employing regular data analysis and transaction checks to prevent financial losses.
- Ensure the accuracy and completeness of consumer, merchant, and transaction data through continuous monitoring and verification, maintaining the integrity of our operational processes.
- Execute comprehensive risk checks and reports in accordance with internal procedures, contributing to the overall risk management framework of the company.
- Proactively engage with external partners and other departments regarding risk-related matters, fostering a collaborative approach to risk management.
- Lead the adoption and integration of cutting-edge technology solutions and data analytics to enhance risk identification, assessment, and mitigation processes.
- Identify opportunities for product enhancements and develop processes and procedures to mitigate risks, enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of our risk management practices.
- Stay updated with the latest news, regulations, and compliance requirements under the EMI licensing, ensuring CatalystPay remains at the forefront of regulatory adherence.
- Drive the risk and control assessment reporting process, providing insights and recommendations to management to inform decision-making and risk strategies.
Qualifications:
- At least 5 years of experience in risk management in the financial services or payment processing industry. Experience with online businesses and familiarity with the specific risks associated with e-commerce and digital payments would be highly beneficial.
- Strong knowledge of risk assessment tools, data analysis software, and familiarity with advanced technological solutions such as AI and machine learning for risk management.
- In-depth understanding of the regulatory environment related to electronic money institutions (EMIs) and payment service providers, including international regulations that may affect global operations.
- Familiarity with card scheme rules and the ability to stay updated with changes in compliance requirements.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and translate it into actionable insights.
- Experience in developing and implementing risk management strategies that align with business goals.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex risk-related information to stakeholders at all levels. Proficiency in English, both written and spoken.
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams, initiatives, and projects related to risk management. Capacity to mentor and develop staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and risk awareness.
- Ability to adapt to a rapidly changing business environment, with a proactive approach to identifying and mitigating emerging risks in the payment industry.
